When I was single, I created a list of all the qualities I wanted in a mate. When I met Michael, he appeared to be everything I had described. The true blessing is not that my list was fulfilled, but realizing that God is available and interested in bringing every detail of life into alignment with His plan.

Since then, I’ve helped many single friends use this tool to identify God’s direction for their life. In each ones’ life, I’ve seen the changes God wants them to make thereby becoming the right mate for their ideal partner. Their success stories inspired me to share the benefits and challenges of this process with a wider audience.

Identify a Mate: The List is for those searching for a counterpart. They long for an encouraging relationship that promises to fulfill their deepest desires and needs. However, only by focusing on an intimate relationship with God first can any other relationships be blessed.

In this book biblical examples are explored in the stories of Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, and Isaac and Rebekkah.  Each story adds to the value of self-examination, alignment, revelation, and presentation, where a heart becomes prepared to accept a blessing from the Creator. 

Readers are encouraged to examine their lives in relation to God first, then the world.  “Is your faith recognizable in your actions, job, friends, and family?  Are you a light in the world?  Do your actions get you closer to, or further away from healthy relationships?”
